“Innovation without inclusion…

is failure.”- Dr. Jessica Jackson, current VP of Alliance Development at Mental Health America and FDA Digital Health Advisory member DROPPED THE MIC during the 2025 Yale School of Public Health Digital Health Equity Conference keynote. Dr. Amber gives you a backstage pass to key insights on digital health equity! Game changing in digital health requires creativity, and critical consideration of data equity, privacy and representation and nurturing the next generation of leaders in public health. Dr. Megan L. Ranney, MD, MPH, Dean of the Yale School of Public Health and Professor of Emergency Medicine came through with a word (as usual) encouraging leaders and innovators during a time of uncertainty and chaos, to lean further into our creativity and into our mission as we explored the four key themes of the conference:

  • How do we ensure data equity in the design and deployment of digital health solutions?

  • What are the trade-offs between privacy, representation, and statistical precision in health data?

  • How can AI and digital health be leveraged responsibly to drive meaningful, community-centered impact?

  • What does it take to scale data-driven interventions while ensuring ethical integrity and inclusivity?
